Cowboys Finish 11th at West Regional

GEORGETOWN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team placed 11th at the West Regional Preview at the par-72, 6,648-yard Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown on Tuesday.

The Cowboys shot a 309 in the final round and finished the tournament with a 931 total. LaVerne and Redlands tied with 883 and LaVerne won the tournament in a playoff.

Michael Weehunt and Brad Leeper each shot 74 for the Cowboys. Weehunt finished with a 224 total and tied for 15th and Leeper shot 225 to place 17th. J.C. Eagle shot 77-77-81-235, Brian Laing shot 88-79-80--247, and Derek Eddins shot a 88-90-89-267 to round out the lineup.

The Cowboys will play in the ASC Championship on April 21-22.
