Cowboys Finish Ninth At UTD

RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ men’s golf team held its position in the final round to finish ninth at the UT-Dallas Spring Invitational at the par-72, 7085-yard Sherrill Park in Richardson.

Texas-Tyler won the event with final-round score of 314 and a three-round total of 908. HSU shot 335 to finish with a three-round score of 979. Blaine Weiterman of Tyler Junior College won the medalist race with a three-round total of 220.

Aaron Bradshaw led the Cowboys with a 78-76-80-234 to finish tied for 16th. Kelci Gonzales led the Cowboys on Tuesday with a 78 and finished with 79-82-79-239. Brian Laing shot 82-80-88-250, Adam Parker had a 85-83-89-257 and Blaine King rounded out the lineup with a 84-89-89-262.

The Cowboys are off until the ASC Championship on April 20-21.
