Cowboys Compete At UMHB

SALADO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team shot a 323 in its first competitive round of the fall season and it finds itself in 17th place at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational, which is being held at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Salado.
UT-Dallas is leading the event with a 292 and Jason Timmis of Paris Community College and Daniel Maurer of Trinity lead the individual race after each shot 69's in the first round.
Blane King led the Cowboys with a 77 and Aaron Bradshaw shot a 78 in their Cowboy debuts. Dustin Minchew (81), Kelsey Gonzales (87) and Adam Parker (91) rounded out the Cowboy lineup.
The teams will play 18 holes on Tuesday.
