Cowboys Finish 17th at UMHB

SALADO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team shot a second-round 336 and finished with a two-day total of 659 to finish 17th out of 18 teams at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Salado.

The teams faced far tougher scoring conditions on Tuesday as all but six of the 18 teams shot lower in round one than in round two.

Blane King led the Cowboys effort with a 77-80-157 to finish tied for 54th. Aaron Bradshaw shot 78-84-162 and Kelsey Gonzales (87-83) and Dustin Minchew (81-89) each shot 170's for HSU. Adam Parker shot a 91-92-183.  

UT-Dallas won the team title with a 599, which was one shot better than Lubbock Christian and Tyler Junior College. Cody Blankenship won the medalist race with a pair of 71's for a 142 total.
