Cowboys In 11th At TLU
SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team is in 11th place after the first two rounds of the John Bohmann Invitational being held at the Max Starcke Municipal Golf Course in Seguin.
The Cowboys shot a 323 in the morning round and improved to 317 in the afternoon to finish with a 640. Oklahoma Baptist leads the tournament with a two-round total of 582.
Freshman Kelci Gonzales and junior Justin Minchew posted the top scores for the Cowboys with two-round 158's. Gonzales had a pair of 79's and Minchew shot 82-76. Brian Laing had rounds of 81 and 78 for a 159. Blaine King shot 81 and 84 for a 165 total and Ransom Gibbs shot 91 and 96 to round out the Cowboy lineup.
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
