Cowboys In Fifth Place


KERRVILLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team is in fifth place after the first round of the Schreiner Spring Shootout that is being played at the 7,032-yard, par-72 Comanche Trace Golf Course in Kerrville.

Aaron Bradshaw led the Cowboy effort with a 78 which is good for a tie for ninth place. Kelci Gonzales shot a 79 to tie for 11th place. Adam Parker (83), Brian Laing (86) and Blaine King (88) rounded out the Cowboy lineup.

Texas-Pan American leads the tournament with a 300. McMurry is second at 302 and Texas Lutheran is in third place with a 315. Schreiner is one stroke ahead of HSU at 325. Armen Kirakossian of UTPA leads the medalist race after shooting a two-under par 70.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
