Knox, Jones Earn All-American Honors

ABILENE, Texas - Senior center Josh Knox and senior defensive tackle Chris Jones earned All-American honors as announced by D3football.com in conjunction with the Division III Championship that was held Saturday evening.

Knox, who was the ASC Offensive Lineman of the Year, was named first-team All-American by D3football.com. He also earned first team all-region honors.

He had already earned first-team All-American honors by the American Football Coaches Association, which earned him a right to compete in the Aztec Bowl, which is a Division III all-star game against a team from Mexico. The Americans won 28-7 late Saturday.

Jones was named second team at defensive tackle. The Brownwood native was also a first-team all-region selection.

Also earning all-region nods for the Cowboys were Jordan Neal, Reggie Robinson Rob Galusha and Mychal Carrillo. Neal was on the second team and Robinson, Galusha and Carrillo were on the third team.
