Honeycutt and Parker Named All-Region

MINNEAPOLIS -- Two Hardin-Simmons football players were named to the 2009 all-South region team as selected by d3football.com.

Junior offensive tackle Koby Parker and junior guard Cody Honeycutt were second-team selections after helping pave the way for an offense that averaged 183.2 rushing yards per game and over 380 yards per game on offense.

The Cowboys suffered injuries to several key players on the way to a 1-4 start. But HSU closed the 2009 season with a five-game winning streak, beating crosstown rival McMurry 21-10 in their season finale to finish 6-4 for their 18th straight winning season.
