Willis, Singer Earn ASC Accolades

RICHARDSON, Texas - Terrence Willis was named to the all-American Southwest Conference West Division second team and to the all-ASC West all-defensive team and Carlos Singer was named an honorable mention all-ASC West selection by the coaches in the yearly postseason awards that were announced today.

Willis, a senior from Wichita Falls, averaged 11.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He led the Cowboys with 42 blocked shots.

Singer, a junior from Seattle, Wash., led the Cowboys in scoring with 12.1 points per game.

Tillmon Gaddy from Mary Hardin-Baylor was named the league's most valuable player and was also the defensive player of the year. Braden Irwin of Howard Payne was named the freshman of the year and Jonathan Walker of McMurry was the newcomer of the year. Ken DeWeese of Mary Hardin-Baylor was named the coach of the year in the conference.
