Jordan Named Academic All-Region

ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons’ sophomore outfielder Jaxon Jordan has been selected to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA academic all-region college division District IV first team.

Jordan, who hit .374 with four home runs and 36 RBIs, started in left field for the Cowboys. He also has a 4.0 grade point average as a biology/pre-med major.

He will go on to the ballot for the all-American team. The College division of the competition represents Division II, III and NAIA schools and District VI is all of the schools in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Misssissippi and Louisiana.
