Dixon Named First-Team All-American

ABILENE, Texas -- Junior catcher/designated hitter Regan Dixon has picked up another All-American award as he was named a first-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association at the Division III World Series On Friday.

Earlier in the week he was selected as a third-team all-American by D3baseball.com after his impressive 2009 season.

Dixon hit .354 with 16 home runs and 56 RBIs. Both the home run and RBI totals were the school’s non-scholarship era records.

Dixon will be one of six returning position starters for the Cowboys in the 2010 season. The Cowboys went 25-18 in 2009 and advanced to the American Southwest Conference Championship Series.
